Dhanbad News: Drunk Youths Create Chaos at Hotel in Dhanbad, Staff Injured

Dhanbad, November 25, 2024: A disturbing incident unfolded in Dhanbad on Sunday evening when a group of intoxicated youths caused chaos at Patiala Hotel, located in the Chirkunda police station area. The situation quickly escalated, resulting in the injury of hotel staff members and extensive damage to property.

Incident Details

According to reports, a group of 10 to 15 youths, reportedly from the Mugma and Nirsa areas, arrived at the hotel seeking accommodation. However, the hotel management refused to provide them with a room due to their intoxicated state and lack of valid identification. This refusal sparked a violent reaction from the group, who retaliated by calling in additional members. They began to aggressively assault the hotel staff and damaged the hotel’s property.

In a bid to disperse the group, the youths started throwing stones, further escalating the chaos. The situation became tense, with large-scale damage to hotel windows and surrounding areas. As the disturbance continued, panic spread among guests and bystanders, creating a major disruption in the locality.

Police Response and Control Measures

The local police, including officers from the Chirkunda and Kumardhubi police stations, rushed to the scene to restore order. However, controlling the violent youths proved challenging, as they continued their stone-throwing spree even in the presence of law enforcement. The situation only began to stabilize when a contingent of CISF personnel arrived, assisting in the restoration of peace.

One Arrested, Search for Others Continues

In the aftermath of the chaos, the police were able to arrest one of the youths involved in the incident. Investigations are ongoing, and law enforcement agencies are working to track down the remaining suspects. Chirkunda Police Station Incharge, Ramji Rai, condemned the incident, emphasizing that those responsible would face stringent legal action. “We are committed to ensuring that justice is served and the perpetrators are brought to justice,” Rai stated.

Hotel Owner’s Account

The hotel owner, Manbeer, stated that the youths, visibly drunk, demanded a room. When they were refused service, they became violent. “Their aggression led to physical assault on the staff and significant property damage,” he said. To assist in the investigation, the police are reviewing CCTV footage from the hotel and surrounding areas.
