Giridih, November 04, 2024: In a recent address, All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) leader Sudesh Mahto criticized the current state government’s performance over the last five years, calling it a period marked by misrule and failure. Speaking at a meeting in Dumri with NDA members, Sudesh Mahto urged voters to support the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the upcoming Jharkhand assembly elections, promising freedom from the “ineffectual governance” that he argued had hampered the state’s progress.
Lack of Development and Governance Issues
According to Sudesh Mahto, Jharkhand’s current administration has neglected development priorities, leaving the state trailing behind on essential growth indicators. He claimed that the government lacks both a concrete development plan and the political will to implement one. “A government’s role is to address the needs of its people and guide the state on a path to growth and stability,” Sudesh Mahto stated, emphasizing that the NDA aims to restore these priorities if elected.
The AJSU leader alleged that governance in Jharkhand under the present administration had been rife with corruption and mismanagement, with little to show in terms of tangible progress. This critique, he suggested, is evidence of the administration’s failure to make meaningful contributions to Jharkhand’s future.
Rising Crime and Corruption Concerns
Another major focus of Sudesh Mahto’s address was the alleged increase in crime and corruption across Jharkhand. He argued that these issues have only worsened over the past five years, impacting not only security but also the state’s economic prospects. “People of Jharkhand are burdened by increasing crime and rampant corruption under this government’s rule,” Sudesh Mahto remarked.
The NDA leader noted that with proper administration, the state could reduce crime rates and provide a safer environment conducive to investment and growth. He highlighted that the NDA would prioritize law and order to restore public confidence and ensure that resources were allocated responsibly.
Impacts on Youth Employment
In a direct appeal to Jharkhand’s youth, Sudesh Mahto criticized the current administration’s handling of employment opportunities, especially for young people. He contended that the state’s youth have been among the worst affected by what he termed a “broken” employment and recruitment system. According to Sudesh Mahto, the lack of viable job opportunities has forced many young people to seek work outside Jharkhand, leading to significant labor migration.
He pointed out the challenges faced by job seekers due to recruitment delays, adding that instances of police violence against young people protesting the issue had further worsened the situation. “This administration has not only failed to create jobs but has also responded with force when the youth raise their voices,” he argued.
Call to Action for NDA Support
Sudesh Mahto’s remarks concluded with a strong appeal for support, positioning the NDA as a solution to what he described as five years of ineffective governance. He urged the people of Jharkhand to consider the NDA’s commitment to addressing issues like crime, corruption and youth employment, promising a more accountable and development-oriented government.
“Every misstep, every hardship and every setback faced over the past five years is something the NDA is prepared to rectify,” he stated, calling for collective action to bring about change.
