Ranchi, September 2, 2026: The bail plea of Sushma Devi, wife of jailed accused Abhay Tiwari, was heard by the CID special court in connection with the JSSC CGL examination irregularities case. The court has directed the CID to produce the case diary before considering her bail application.
The matter will now come up for further hearing on September 3, after the case diary is placed before the court.
CID arrested three members of Tiwari family
Sushma Devi was arrested by the CID in August, while her husband Abhay Tiwari was arrested in July, according to the source material.
The investigation relates to Case No. 1/2025, registered over alleged irregularities in the JSSC CGL examination.
The CID has arrested Abhay Tiwari, his wife Sushma Devi and his brother in connection with the case.
The court’s direction to produce the case diary will allow the prosecution material available with the investigating agency to be placed before the court when Sushma Devi’s bail plea is taken up on September 3.
