Ramgarh, October 26, 2024: The Election Commission’s police observer team has conducted a security inspection of the strong room designated for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly election. IPS officer Debabrata Das led the inspection at the strong room located within Ramgarh College on Saturday, providing several security guidelines to ensure the integrity of the electoral process.
Security Measures for Ramgarh Strong Room
Accompanying the observer were key officials, including District Commissioner (DC) and Superintendent of Police (SP) Ajay Kumar, alongside various police officers. The inspection is part of comprehensive preparations for the 2024 Assembly elections, emphasizing the importance of security measures in the lead-up to the voting period.
Surveillance Activities for Jharkhand Elections
As part of the election readiness, the district is actively implementing surveillance measures. Static Surveillance Teams (SST) have been deployed across various intersections to check both small and large vehicles, ensuring compliance with electoral regulations.
Election Schedule for Jharkhand Assembly Elections
The Jharkhand Assembly elections will occur in two phases – voting for the first phase is scheduled for November 13, while the second phase will take place on November 20. In the first phase, elections will be held for 30 seats across 13 districts, whereas the second phase will cover 36 seats across 16 districts. The results are anticipated to be announced on November 23, marking a crucial moment in the state’s democratic process.
With a focus on transparency and security, the Election Commission is working diligently to uphold the electoral integrity and ensure a fair voting environment for all citizens.
