Ranchi, November 06, 2024: After the removal of the election code of conduct, work will begin on nine major roads at a cost of ₹454 crore. The project will span approximately 166 km, with a significant portion of the work focused on widening and strengthening roads in Jamshedpur. In this project, six roads in Jamshedpur will be included as part of a single package. The roadwork initiative was approved by the state Cabinet earlier, and the tender process will begin shortly to start the construction phase.

The total length of roads under this development initiative will be 14.13 km, with widening and strengthening of these key areas. The work is being carried out under the recommendation of Sanjeev Sardar.
The overall aim of this project is to improve connectivity across the state, boosting transportation and local infrastructure, which will help in driving economic growth and development across Jharkhand.
These road projects are expected to provide significant improvements in travel time and vehicle safety, fostering better accessibility for local communities, businesses and industries. With the approval from the state Cabinet, work is set to begin shortly after the election period concludes.
