Jharkhand News: Train Cancellations in Ranchi Rail Division, Howrah-Hatia Express Affected

Ranchi, September 02, 2025 Train services in the Kharagpur Rail Division have been disrupted due to ongoing non-interlocking work at Kolaghat station. As a result, the Ranchi Rail Division has announced the cancellation of train number 18615/18616 Howrah–Hatia–Howrah Kriya Yoga Express for October 10. Passengers are advised to take note of the schedule change.

Howrah-Hatia Express Cancelled on October 10

According to railway authorities, the Howrah–Hatia Express will remain suspended for one day to facilitate the non-interlocking work in the Kharagpur division. The decision was taken to ensure passenger safety and smooth railway operations during the technical upgrade.

Train Diversions and Delays in Ranchi Rail Division

Apart from the cancellation, several trains under the Ranchi Rail Division will also face diversions and delays due to development works in the Adra Division of South Eastern Railway, where a rolling block has been planned.

Railway officials have requested passengers to check train schedules and routes before traveling. The advance notice has been issued to minimize inconvenience and ensure better travel planning for commuters across the affected routes.
