Ranchi, September 29, 2025: The South Eastern Railway (SER) has announced significant changes in train operations due to ongoing development work in Chakradharpur and Adra divisions. The disruptions include cancellations, route diversions, and short-term terminations affecting multiple passenger and express trains passing through Tatanagar.

Train Cancellations on September 29 and October 5

Railway authorities confirmed that several MEMU services will remain canceled. These include:

  • 68043/68044 Tatanagar–Rourkela–Tatanagar MEMU
  • 68025/68026 Chakradharpur–Rourkela–Chakradharpur MEMU
  • 68137/68138 Tatanagar–Chandil Bazar–Tatanagar MEMU
  • 68046/68045 Asansol–Adra–Asansol MEMU, scheduled for September 29 and October 5

Tatanagar-Hatia Express Route Diversion

The Tatanagar-Hatia Express (18601) will run on a diverted route on October 4. Instead of its regular path via Chandil–Purulia–Kusunda–Muri, the train will operate through Chandil–Govindpur–Muri.

Short-Term Terminations and Originations

Several trains will experience short-term changes in their operation:

  • Jhargram–Dhanbad–Jhargram Express (18019/18020) will short-terminate at Bokaro Steel City on September 29, October 3, and October 5.
  • 68055/68056 Asansol–Tatanagar–Asansol MEMU will be short-terminated at Adra on October 4.
  • Barddhaman–Hatia–Barddhaman Express (13503/13504) will short-terminate at Gomoh on October 3 and October 5.

Delays in Express Trains

The SER has also announced delays in major express services:

  • Buxar–Tatanagar Express (18184) scheduled for October 5 will depart 90 minutes late.
  • Hatia–Kharagpur Express (18036) on October 4 will run with a delay of 2 hours from Hatia.

Railway Advisory for Passengers

The railway administration has advised passengers to check the updated schedule before travel. With multiple cancellations, diversions, and short-term changes, travelers are urged to stay informed through official railway announcements to avoid inconvenience.
