Ranchi: Significant Development Under State Investment Assistance Scheme

Ranchi, December 11, 2024: The Jharkhand government has launched a special financial assistance initiative under the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Investment (2024-25) to accelerate development in three urban bodies. The plan aims to streamline funds allocation and implementation in Bishrampur, Lohardaga and Ramgarh Nagar Parishads.

Coordination for Milestone Achievements

The Urban Development Department and the Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms Department are collaborating to achieve key milestones under this scheme. The identified milestones will serve as a benchmark for fund disbursement, ensuring the planned activities align with the state’s developmental goals. Executive officers and circle officers of these urban bodies have been directed to expedite action to meet these milestones.

Targeted Urban Bodies for Infrastructure Growth

The selected urban bodies, Bishrampur, Lohardaga and Ramgarh are slated to receive financial support to improve infrastructure and public amenities. This initiative is part of the government’s broader vision to enhance urban living standards and ensure sustainable development across Jharkhand.

Funding Based on Central Government Approval

The disbursement of funds will depend on meeting predefined milestones, following which the state government will request additional resources from the central government. This performance-based funding model ensures accountability and aligns with the Urban Development Department’s objectives to maximize resource utilization.
