Bermo Durga Puja 2025: Peace Committee Urges Residents to Avoid Rumors and Disputes

Bokaro,September 24, 2025: A peace committee meeting was convened at the police station premises in Bermo, Bokaro district, ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations. The objective of the meeting was to ensure that the festival is celebrated in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere across the region.

Durga Puja 2025 Preparations in Bermo

The meeting saw participation from office bearers of various Puja committees, public representatives, social workers, and local residents. Discussions were held on key issues such as security arrangements at pandals, maintenance of law and order, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation measures, and preparations for idol immersion.

Police and Administration’s Appeal for Cooperation

During the meeting, the Circle Officer (CO) of Bermo and the Officer-in-Charge of the local police station appealed to all present to extend full cooperation to the administration. They emphasized the need to avoid rumors and disputes during Durga Puja to maintain the district’s communal harmony.

Officials informed that adequate police deployment will be ensured at major pandals, and CCTV cameras will be installed to strengthen surveillance. A route chart for idol immersion will be prepared and strictly implemented, with timings to be followed as directed.

Community Support for Peaceful Durga Puja

Members of the peace committee assured full support to the administration. They reiterated their commitment to preserving Bermo’s Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb (composite culture) and expressed confidence that this year’s Durga Puja in Bermo will be celebrated peacefully and with grandeur, just as in previous years.
