Ramgarh, January 06, 2025: In a shocking incident in the Kuju OP area of Ramgarh district, a coal trader, identified as Anil Keshri, was shot by unidentified criminals on Friday. The incident occurred at Transport Nagar, where Anil Keshri was working in his office with colleagues.

According to reports, two assailants arrived on a motorcycle and fired two rounds before fleeing the scene. Anil Keshri sustained a gunshot wound below the waist, leaving him critically injured.

Immediate Response and Medical Aid

Hearing the gunshots, nearby residents rushed to Anil Keshri’s aid and transported him to a private nursing home on Ranchi Road. After initial treatment, he was referred to Ranchi for advanced medical care.

The Kuju OP police and Mandu Circle Inspector quickly reached the scene to investigate the shooting. Authorities recovered an empty cartridge and a live bullet from the location. Additionally, police are reviewing CCTV footage from the office to identify the perpetrators.

Ramgarh Superintendent of Police, Ajay Kumar, confirmed that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to expedite the case. “Efforts are underway to apprehend the criminals. They will be behind bars soon,” Kumar assured.
