Godda, November 06, 2024: A tragic incident unfolded in Godda’s Lalmatia Bazar on Tuesday evening, when a man named John Kisku was shot by two assailants in a broad daylight attack. Kisku, who was out shopping with his wife, was targeted by two masked gunmen riding a white motorcycle. The assailants opened fire, hitting Kisku with four bullets. While one bullet struck his motorcycle, three others pierced his body, leaving him severely wounded.

Medical Assistance and Subsequent Death in Godda

Following the attack, John Kisku was rushed to Godda’s sadar hospital for immediate medical treatment. Despite initial efforts by doctors and medical staff, his condition was deemed critical, prompting the decision to transfer him to Bhagalpur for further care. Tragically, Kisku succumbed to his injuries during transit, near the area of Panjwara in Bihar.

Relatives’ Outrage and Assault on Doctor

In the wake of John Kisku’s death, his relatives, overcome with grief and anger, turned their frustration toward Dr. Rajan Kumar, the doctor accompanying Kisku during the transfer. In a violent outburst, they physically assaulted Dr. Kumar. The doctor managed to escape the assault, seeking refuge at the Panjwara police station, where he reported the incident to senior officers.

A medical board conducted a postmortem at Sadar Hospital on Wednesday morning, and John Kisku’s body was later handed over to his family.
