Jamshedpur, September 8, 2026: Police investigating the murder of hotel businessman Nikhar Sablok, a resident of Vijaya Heritage Phase 6 in Kadma, searched a flat at Sahara City in Mango on Monday night based on information obtained during the questioning of three arrested suspects.
The three accused — Sunil Rajak, Ritesh Singh and alleged shooter Ankit Singh — have been taken on 72-hour remand by Chandil police and are being questioned as part of the investigation.
Joint team searches flat in Sahara City
Based on information gathered during questioning, a joint team of Chandil and Jamshedpur police reached Sahara City at around 10 pm with a convoy of approximately five vehicles.
Police reportedly took two of the accused to a flat in the Megha Block and searched the premises based on information allegedly provided by them.
Investigators also questioned security personnel at the residential complex to gather details about the movement of people who may have stayed there.
Police investigating possible pre-murder stay
According to information available to investigators, some people allegedly linked to the case may have stayed at Sahara City before the murder.
Police are now trying to establish who stayed in the flat before the killing and whether those individuals had any connection with the murder investigation.
Sources claimed that the search and questioning produced some important leads. However, police have not officially confirmed the recovery of any specific evidence or the nature of the alleged leads.
Police officials declined to provide details, saying the investigation is still underway.

After completing the search, the police team left Sahara City with the accused.
Investigators are now examining the information gathered during the operation and questioning the arrested suspects to establish the alleged sequence of events and identify other people who may have been connected to the case.
