Chaibasa, September 8, 2026: Bandgaon police have recovered a lost iPhone 17 with the help of the police technical cell and returned it to its rightful owner after completing the required formalities.

The mobile phone belonged to Abhishek Munda, a resident of Gundasai in Chakradharpur. He had reported the phone missing after it was lost in Bandgaon market on August 30.

Technical cell helps trace lost phone

A complaint regarding the missing mobile was registered under Bandgaon Police Station Sanha No. 07/26 dated September 1, 2026.

Following the complaint, police began efforts to trace the device with assistance from the technical cell. The phone was subsequently recovered.

After completing the necessary procedures, police handed over the recovered iPhone 17 to Abhishek Munda on a jimenama.

Munda expressed his gratitude to the Bandgaon police and technical cell after receiving his phone back.

Police urge people to report lost phones quickly

Bandgaon police station in-charge Pawan Kumar Chaudhary said police remain committed to tracing and recovering lost mobile phones.

He appealed to people to inform the police station immediately if their mobile phone is lost, saying that timely reporting can help authorities begin the recovery process without delay.
