Ranchi, September 8, 2026: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will stage a protest outside the Ranchi Deputy Commissioner’s office on Tuesday over alleged irregularities in JPSC, JSSC and CGL examinations.
The protest, organised by the BJP Ranchi Mahanagar district unit, is scheduled to begin at 10 am from the District School ground near Shahid Chowk.
The party has announced that it will demand the arrest of those allegedly responsible for irregularities in the examinations and a CBI investigation into the matter.
BJP to demand withdrawal of cases against students
During the protest, the BJP is also expected to demand withdrawal of cases registered by the Jharkhand government against students who, according to the party, were participating in peaceful protests over the examination issue.
The party has appealed to its workers and supporters to participate in large numbers, describing the agitation as a fight concerning the future and rights of students and job aspirants.
The allegations regarding examination irregularities are political claims and remain subject to investigation.
Several senior BJP leaders expected to attend
A number of senior BJP leaders and elected representatives are expected to participate in the programme.
Those listed by the party include state president Aditya Sahu, Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, national secretary Pradeep Verma and organisation general secretary Karmveer Singh.
Other leaders expected to attend include Ranchi MLA C.P. Singh, Hatia MLA Naveen Jaiswal, Ranchi Mayor Roshni Khalkho and Deputy Mayor Neeraj Kumar, along with other senior state-level leaders and party workers.
The protest comes amid continuing political and public debate over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations conducted by JPSC and JSSC.
