Hazaribagh, September 8, 2026: Former Jharkhand Chief Minister and former Odisha Governor Raghubar Das will lead a BJP protest in Hazaribagh on Tuesday over alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations and issues concerning recruitment exams in the state.
BJP leaders and workers will march towards the district administration offices and hold a protest outside the Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police offices.
The programme is scheduled to begin at 11 am from near Nirmal Mahato Park. Party workers will take out a road march from there to the district collectorate, followed by a sit-in protest outside the premises.
BJP seeks CBI probe into examination irregularities
The BJP’s main demand is a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC examinations.
The party is also expected to raise concerns over delays in conducting examinations, delays in declaring results and alleged irregularities in the recruitment process.
The allegations are political claims and remain subject to investigation.
Demand to withdraw cases against protesting students
The BJP will also demand the withdrawal of police cases allegedly registered against students who had been protesting over their demands.
Party leaders have described the issue as a matter concerning the future of Jharkhand’s youth and students.
Raghubar Das to address gathering
Raghubar Das is expected to address the gathering after the march and sit-in.
The local BJP leadership and district president have appealed to MPs, MLAs, office-bearers and party workers from the area to participate in the programme.
The party has said the protest is intended to raise issues affecting the future of job aspirants across Jharkhand, particularly in connection with recruitment examinations conducted by JPSC and JSSC.
