Chaibasa, September 04, 2026: For members of the Marwari Yuva Manch Jagriti branch, Janmashtami became an occasion to share the festival’s joy with families who had recently welcomed newborns.
The group visited Chaibasa Sadar Hospital during the festival and greeted newborn babies and their mothers. The initiative was organised around the theme of celebrating the arrival of the children as little “Bal Gopal” on the occasion of Lord Krishna’s birth.
Instead of limiting the celebration to a conventional programme, the members brought practical items for the newborns. Baby bottles, blankets, diapers, towels, fruits and other essential supplies were distributed as gifts.
Members turn festival celebrations into a service activity
Branch president Chanda Agarwal said sharing happiness with newborns on Janmashtami was a meaningful way to celebrate the festival and described service as a form of devotion.
Secretary Rinki Agarwal said the organisation would continue undertaking similar service initiatives in the future.
The programme was attended by Chanda Agarwal, Rinki Agarwal, treasurer Khushbu Dodrajka, media in-charge Deepa Dodrajka and other branch members.
The branch also acknowledged Latika Agarwal for contributing towels for the children and Pooja Bagaria for providing diapers.
Hospital management and the newborns’ mothers appreciated the initiative, saying such acts of service during festivals can spread happiness while supporting families at an important moment in their lives.
