A young man lost his life after falling into a well near the Manaitand Chhath Pond in the Dhanbad city’s Dhanbad police station area. The incident unfolded as a group of five to six individuals, allegedly consuming alcohol, attempted to flee upon spotting the police vehicle.

According to local sources, the young men, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, panicked and tried to escape as the police patrol approached. In the ensuing commotion, one of them, identified as Ritesh Ravani, a resident of Gandhinagar Sabzi Bagan, fell into a well.

The police, with the assistance of local residents, managed to retrieve Ritesh from the well after significant effort. He was initially rushed to a private nursing home in Dhanbad and later referred to Shaheed Nirmal Mahto Medical College and Hospital for advanced treatment. Tragically, he was declared dead during treatment.
