Ranchi, August 31, 2026: The election process for the 2026-27 session of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) got underway on Monday, with 42 nomination forms received on the first day.
Nominations are being filed for posts in the Executive Committee and Regional Vice-President categories, as activity gathers pace among business organisations ahead of the chamber election.
Nominations open until September 1
Election officer Anchal Kinger and co-chairman Pawan Sharma said candidates can submit their nomination papers until 4 pm on September 1.
The nomination papers will subsequently be scrutinised, after which the list of eligible candidates will be published.
DIN mandatory for candidates
Candidates contesting the election are required to provide a valid Director Identification Number (DIN) along with their nomination.
The election officials said nominations submitted without a valid DIN will not be accepted.
Withdrawal deadline set for September 3
Candidates will also have an opportunity to withdraw their nominations after the filing process is completed.
The deadline for withdrawal has been fixed at 3 pm on September 3. Following the withdrawal process, the final list of candidates remaining in the election will be released.
The first-day response, with 42 nomination forms received, marks the beginning of the formal electoral process for the FJCCI’s 2026-27 session.
