Jamshedpur, September 03, 2026: Kolhan University has opened registration for its seventh annual convocation, scheduled for September 29, with eligible students and PhD scholars required to submit their forms by September 10, 2026.
The university will confer degrees on toppers from different courses as well as successful PhD candidates during the ceremony. The Governor of Jharkhand will be the chief guest.
The convocation will cover candidates from the following academic sessions:
- PG final examination, session 2023-25
- MBA final examination, session 2022-24
- B.Ed final examination, session 2023-25
- PhD candidates whose successful completion was notified by July 31, 2026
September 10 deadline for registration
Eligible candidates have been asked to download the convocation registration form from the university’s official website and submit the completed form, along with self-attested documents, to the KU Examination Department by September 10.
The required documents include copies of the admit card and marksheet, Aadhaar card, matriculation board certificate as proof of age, and two recent passport-size colour photographs. PhD candidates must additionally submit a copy of their PhD notification.
Different fees for toppers, PhD scholars and other PG students
The university has set different registration fees depending on the category of candidate.
PG, MBA and B.Ed toppers will have to pay ₹1,000, while PhD candidates will pay ₹2,000.
Other PG students who are not course toppers can register by paying ₹500 if they want to receive their degree at the university’s PG department on September 29 from 2 pm.
Payment can be made through a demand draft in favour of the Registrar, Kolhan University, or through a bank challan issued by the Examination Department.
