Ranchi, September 24, 2025: The Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan being implemented under the National Health Mission (NHM) in Jharkhand has made significant progress. As of September 23, 2025, the campaign has benefitted more than 15.32 lakh women across the state through extensive health screenings, awareness programs, and medical services.
Swasth Nari Campaign Benefits Over 15 Lakh Women
According to official data, a total of 31,036 health camps have been organized under the initiative. These camps have provided crucial health check-ups and consultations aimed at strengthening women’s healthcare and family well-being.
Out of the total beneficiaries, 5,96,678 women were screened for hypertension, and 5,46,577 underwent diabetes tests. Additionally, 3,52,637 women were tested for oral cancer, 89,356 for cervical cancer, 1,91,703 for breast cancer, and 1,78,494 for tuberculosis (TB). The campaign also completed 2,14,170 sickle cell screenings, marking a major step in preventive healthcare.
Maternal and Child Health Services in Jharkhand
The health mission has also placed strong emphasis on maternal and child health. Under the campaign, 42,898 new ANC (Antenatal Care) check-ups and 80,877 follow-up ANC check-ups were conducted. Furthermore, 1,02,002 vaccination doses were administered to ensure better maternal and child healthcare.
In addition, 4,404 blood donation services were carried out to strengthen emergency medical response. The state also issued 1,11,313 ABDM (Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission) cards and 30,628 PM-JAY (Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana) cards, expanding access to affordable healthcare services.
Nutrition, Menstrual Hygiene, and Health Awareness
The campaign is not limited to medical screenings but also addresses nutrition and hygiene awareness among women. So far, 4,99,927 women have received nutrition counseling, while 3,29,335 women were educated on menstrual hygiene practices.
The initiative also supported 705 major surgeries and 5,585 minor surgeries, ensuring timely medical interventions for women in need. Officials highlighted that the campaign is building a strong foundation not only for women’s health but also for family empowerment and community well-being.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari have reiterated that the government remains committed to ensuring quality healthcare for every woman in the state. With the active support of the National Health Mission, the administration aims to strengthen access to preventive and curative health services across Jharkhand’s rural and urban areas.
The Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar campaign continues to emerge as a comprehensive model for women’s healthcare, preventive screenings, nutrition awareness, and hygiene education, benefitting lakhs of women and their families across Jharkhand.
