Hazaribagh, November 04, 2024: In a recent rally, JMM (Jharkhand Mukti Morcha) leader and local MLA Kalpana Soren addressed a gathering in Hazaribagh, emphasizing the Jharkhand government’s achievements in welfare initiatives. Kalpana Soren highlighted that while the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) provided pensions to 1.3 million people during its tenure, her government has already issued pensions to 2.7 million people within two years.

Aabua Awas Yojana: Strengthening Jharkhand’s Families

Kalpana Soren also praised the Abua Awas Yojana, a state initiative that has reportedly benefitted 25 lakh families. “We focus on development, not division by religion or caste,” she remarked. This statement aligns with the JMM’s approach to inclusive governance, distinguishing it from the BJP as assembly elections approach.

Local Development Promises in Hazaribagh

In addition to welfare and education, Kalpana Soren vowed to resolve the region’s longstanding issues, such as those involving Dhivra and mica mining. She assured supporters that her government would address these challenges promptly if re-elected, framing this as part of the JMM’s larger commitment to local development.

Visiting Babulal Marandi’s Stronghold in Dhanwar

In a significant move, Kalpana Soren also visited Dhanwar, the electoral base of Babulal Marandi, the former Chief Minister and a prominent BJP figure. Addressing a rally there, she criticized the BJP’s approach to education, particularly for underprivileged children in Jharkhand. “The BJP does not want our state’s poor children to have access to quality education or the opportunity to become self-reliant. Instead, they aim to keep our children dependent,” Soren said, underscoring her party’s commitment to empowerment through education.

As Jharkhand’s assembly elections draw nearer, Kalpana Soren’s campaign tour and these public promises reflect the intense competition between JMM and BJP to demonstrate effective governance. With both parties rallying their bases, Soren’s statements signal the high stakes and evolving political landscape in the region.
